Sarapiqui Rainforest

Sarapiqui, gem located next to the Central Volcanic Mountain Range, Barra Del Colorado National Wildlife Reserve, Braulio Carrillo National Park and La Selva Biological Reserve.

The region is known mostly for rafting rivers and lots of nature and peace balance, with plenty of vegetation around the location.

Located approximately 115 km from SJO (Juan Santamaria Airport).

Reachable via three main routes, the first one called Braulio Carrillo Route, passes through Braulio Carrillo National Park and its amazing landscapes, the second one called “Heroes Route” or “Vara Blanca Route” which passes through La Paz and San Fernando Waterfalls, the third one will be through San Carlos, Alajuela passing through many agricultural crops mainly of pineapple, palmetto or ornamental plants.

Land typically used for agricultural purposes such as extended coffee plantations, corn farms, citrus plantations, banana plantations, palmetto development and cacao plantations and its derivations.

Being a rich place in terms of land and biodiversity, Sarapiqui is one of the upcoming destinations in the tourism area.
