Itinerary

Tortuguero’s name is translated from Spanish as “a place where the turtles nest and hatch”. We are the land of the turtles from the country and one of the most important in the western hemisphere.

This seasonal activity makes our land one of the most visited places in the country, being this experience available from July 10th up to October 20th. This tour is ideal for all those who want to experience one of the most(if not the most) incredible nocturnal wonders that our country has to offer, starting with the pickup at the hotel’s front desk, we will begin
our travel to the designated sector assigned according to the National Park, the base will have some benches were the guests tend to wait while the Turtle Trackers(National Park agents) are at the beach doing their job, we will wait until the perfect moment to get into the beach and towards the Turtle. We are not offering a turtle tour, we are offering a
lifetime experience that will engrave your memory throughout your life. During this activity the visitors have the opportunity to spectate one of the most wonderful natural processes in the world, the nest of the Atlantic Green Sea Turtle. This turtle species is the most common to watch at our beach laying anywhere from eighty up to a hundred eggs each round, having only one round per turtle, all this happens over our barely 312 km2 National Park Area. With schedules assigned randomly by the National Park the tour has two possible times, starting at 20:00
hrs or starting at 22:00 hrs and lasting two hours(apx). The groups are usually not larger than 10 people per group, this to remain attentive to preserve calmness and control during the sight-seeing of the turtles. We will go with one main mission, observe one of the four allowed spawning processes, but, if we are lucky enough we can catch all of them.

Randomly assigned by the National Park
