Take a hike at one of the most beautiful places in the Caribbean! Manzanillo is a small town located literally at the end of the road that communicates with Puerto Viejo, this is the home of the Gandoca-Manzanillo Refuge, a protected area with white sand beaches, coral reefs and untouched rainforest, your trained guide will point out the often elusive wildlife and give you insight on the story of the refugee and its inhabitants, near the end of the hike you will have the chance to visit the Manzanillo viewpoint, a nice place with an amazing view of the ocean where you can take some photos and enjoy a fruit snack.

After the snack is finished you’ll be taken to the Ara Project, a local Manzanillo endeavor dedicated to the protection, reproduction and reinsertion of the Great Green Macaw in the Caribbean Coast, this is a species very endangered in Costa Rica and the world, and here you’ll learn about their interesting ways and marvel with the beauty of their
