This tour begins in the morning with the greetings from our captain and guide while boarding a mid-size boat that will depart to the most important coral reef of the country which is located in the surroundings of the Cahuita National Park. The guests are going to enlist themselves on a full-day tour which is the most complete activity doable in Cahuita.

 

Itinerary

This tour begins in the morning with the greetings from our captain and guide while boarding a mid-size boat that will depart to the most important coral reef of the country which is located in the surroundings of the Cahuita National Park. The guests are going to enlist themselves on a full-day tour which is the most complete activity doable in Cahuita.

This coral reef is home of at least thirty-five species of corals, more than one hundred and twenty species of tropical fishes, three species of sharks, six species of “morays”, three species of hedgehogs, one hundred and forty mollusks, forty four crustaceans, one hundred twenty eight algaes, turtles, sea cucumbers, sea foams, lobsters, shrimps and many others.

During the trip to the coral reef the guide has the task to deliver the snorkeling equipment.

After the snorkeling, we will have a brief time of recess in which we will deliver some fruit snacks based on fresh seasonal tropical fruits.

After the refreshment, the guests will begin the second chapter of the adventure: the hike.

Hike with trail interpretation, the guide will meet with you after the snorkel tour in land to begin the walk between Punta Cahuita and Cahuita’s Town(3.5 km) observing multiple snakes such as boas, bocaraca, terciopelo/velvet, tinsel/oropel, micas and also sloths, howling monkeys, whiteface monkeys, anteaters, armadillos, acoonsr, morpho butterflies, medicine plants, orchids, fens, bromeliads and many more.

  • Guests with only snorkeling activity must have to wait until the other guests with hike and snorkeling finish their hike to take the return transportation.
