Once the sun rises in the horizon, the guest will show up at the meeting point between twenty and fifteen minutes before the start time(set usually at six in the morning), right there the guides will meet you with the life jackets needed for the tour and the important safety instructions to get the most out of the tour.. Canals is a must whenever you visit Tortuguero, because the Canals maintain their magic all year long without exception. During this tour you will experience a complete immersion into the Costa Rican Amazonia for about two hours and a half. The recommended departure time for the tour is in the early morning along the sunrise looking for the exuberant
flora and fauna, we refer to this schedule as the “Active Nature Hours” in which most of the National Park’s biodiversity appears. The guest does not need to be an expert on canoeing, our guides will provide you with the basic instructions and confidence to send it all, in case the guest is unable to paddle there is no problem the guide is well prepared to take care of the situation with paddlers or paddling himself. Each canoe can fit from five to seven people plus the guide, the guest that reserves this tour must join other guests in the same canoe.
